Buddy is fast approaching his first birthday in a week.
45 lbs of hair going every which way and loving enthusiasm that just doesn’t quit!
Can’t believe how big he’s gotten.

Sebastian got in trouble and got yelled at so he was sulking. Max went to console him

Norman is a beagle of indeterminate age that we inherited from our daughter who’s partner’s American bulldog kept trying to kill. Norman and the bullie are both alpha males and Norm would not stand down in any argument. Anyway, we have now had him for a couple of years and he fits in well with our golden retriever Gilbert.

When Norm first came to us, he was quite stressed as you might imagine and he had this habit of pissing on everything he wanted to claim. If he was on the bed, under the bed, on your chair or in your spot on the sofa and you tried to move him, he would lay on his side and aim his penis squarely at you. His marksmanship was excellent.

I got squirted several times before I learned to pick him up from behind and force his tail between his legs and over the hose. He would not pee on his own tail.

He’s better now that he feels comfortable with us and he provides a lot of cuddles and amusement, but we know to crate him when we go out or when we return any sheet corner or curtain or laundry item touching the floor might have a yellow stain.

Great decision to correct with crating.
Bad habits can be unlearned, mostly..

Yup. All it takes is patience, persistence and consistency, not always in that order. Fortunately Norm did not want to pee or poop where he slept, so the crate worked perfectly.

Ordered an Icefang harness for my GSD pup that is 1 year on 1/10/20. I knew he was big chested, but I did not expect 40" behind the front legs. Wow!
