Passed My FAA Checkride...I'm a Pilot!
Hello to SRP Friends,
A quick note to let you know that I earned my private pilot's certificate Tuesday, squeezing in my 5 hour checkride between snow & rain. And yes, did a straight shave that morning to be well-groomed for the FAA examiner. I celebrated with a Cohiba LE2006 pyramid (no photos taken then, unfortunately can't smoke close to the planes!) but here's a photo of me with my flight instructor...
So, if you're ever coming to SE WI, contact me through the board and we can meet for a flight & a smoke after!

Hi Delirium,
Thanks for the kudos! I did all of my training hours in a Cessna 172 (the type behind me in photo). the C152 & 172 are the most popular trainers, I believe, but I didn't fit in a 152 (I'm 6'4"), so the 172 was larger & more powerful! (Is more power ever a bad thing, lol!?)
Take care, and enjoy your time with your family of flyers!

Congratulations! You need to change your moniker to plane guy, or Cessna guy now.

Congrats,
I'm not too far from you in New Berlin, and sail out of South Shore Yacht Club. I will watch the skies for you.
