My Goodness! I topped my 2 trucks back when it was 3.19, knowing what was coming.
Ran the 35 gallons mostly from the big truck before selling it for a VERY good price due to silly car prices. Low miles and clean.

The smaller truck is now below 1/2 tank. Seems to go faster as it holds 22 gal.
I drive as little as possible now. They are shoving more Ethanol in too. Am seeing vapor-lock in fuel injected cars after sitting hot for a while and restarting.
Carb cars are worse about the hot-soak. Ethanol boils at like 180 F! Total junk!

As to guns...They are too expensive now. Looking at auction sites it's ridiculous what some will pay. Drives fakes and scams in the collector market as well.
Some of the old calibers are too expensive to shoot. Most anything which was cheap now runs at least .50 a pop for steel Russian. No more that!
.308 is still hard to get and stupid high. Everything seems reactive to the whole situation.

Ah the old days of a few years back.....

You know, I never thought about ethanol in gasoline until now. Apparently your best best, not guaranteed, to find no ethanol added in Canada is to buy Premium grade. Most all other grades have 10% ethanol added. I had trouble with my lawn mower starting after I had taken a break from mowing the lawn. No trouble on a cold start though. Switched to Premium grade gas and that seems to have solved the problem. Makes me wonder if ethanol was the culprit on hot starts with the mower.

Yes, the price of new firearms makes my head spin and it can be even worse for collector grade guns in good condition. I was surprised to see videos of Canadian troops training still using the Browning 9mm pistol originally adopted around 1944. I did a little research and it appears that they may finally be replaced by a new pistol, thankfully. I was shocked when they said what a vintage Canadian made Hi Power might go for in good condition. Needless to say it was exponentially higher than what I had paid for my Canadian Browning from the Chinese contract complete with shoulder stock more years ago than I care to remember. Yes, I do not have it anymore either.

    Hunting and target guns.
Being a lefty it is not usually possible to borrow the gun one need for a hunt.
So it is a good excuse for myself to build a hunting gun battery.

I used to have the same problem, being a lefty, but after buying a lefty Stag arms, I realized that I had more of a problem with semi automatics because of the hot casing down my shirt. I seem to have gotten used to right handed bolt action, or some combination of both. But nice rifle, and is there anything as good as hitting a soda can at a couple of hundred yards? Nothing like it.

Never have seen so many lefties in one post! GOOD ones, too!

I have a CX4 Storm and am about ready to swap things around some for giggles.
Should be interesting shooting right and ejection on the left?

I tried the LH bolt. Notsobad. Then I tried a sling which went over the right shoulder. Ouch.
    Back to the right.

I love Turner slings. A little heavy and not cheap but quality and worth it.

They do look like nice slings. With my bolt handle on the left, the bugger was poking my back.
I would be a hoot trying to operate one of those. I am far too right handed.

Ah the old days of a few years back.....
How's about $2.58 a round for 25-20 to shoot my Mod. 92 Winchester lever action. It's like ringing a cash register everything time I chamber a round. POW! Cha CHING! POW! Cha CHING...

Problem with that one too is I'd be glad to pay it (almost) IF I could find 'em. Although that's true with most anything these days. The 25-20s were hard to find when all the shelves were full.

How much are you paying for .308 per round? Over here we are £0.90 per round or there abouts. ( Thant's about $1.13)
