I hope you enjoy it. Tonight I'll be sipping JW Green.

A bit lighter on flavor all around compared to Macallan. It is well balanced though tending toward the malt. All around enjoyable with the wood really showing as the other flavors are subdued a bit. A great whisky to explore neat. (most I taste at least once with some water to open them up but this one didn't reveal anything new.)

I think I'll be trying this soon.

Tonight is this one I purchased today after many recommendations on the SRP.

IMHO, you can't go wrong with Lagavulin. What did you think of it?

I enjoyed it. Very smooth start. No bite, heavier flavor than the Speysides but very nice. I enjoyed the peaty ending also. I really enjoyed it and as a result will follow many of the recommendations.

I like to try all different types of Whiskey.

I'm not a Scotch drinker, have never tasted Scotch. But for my 72nd birthday (soon) I would like to try some Scotch....what would be a good brand for a new Scotch drinker? I do have some Waterford drink glass to use with it.....
