Yardie, you have HH out there?
So its funny. My dad said that back in the day my uncle had a cigar store in Toronto. Supposedly, he even had his own line and a bunch of rollers. Oh and when I say back in the day, I am guessing 50s.
I really wish I had more info but I don't. It seems he became a black sheep of sorts. Which is funny because I smoke cigars, and I too am the black sheep and am estranged from my siblings. Maybe everyone in my family who is into cigars is cursed to be estranged lol!!!
Too funny.
A dear friend stopped by this morning to drop off a couple of 4 packs of cigars, and say hello. He has done this around memorial day each year knowing
that I will spend several hours each day reflecting on many lost comrades during nam and many more whom agent orange has taken since.

Enjoying a good journal and a big cigar. Perfect with a coffee out the back yard. Perfect lines on the freshly mowed lawn...I love the little things!
Great looking Cigar Mike.
I am also a fan of the double gun. Alas, I let mine go and have kicked myself ever since.
Not much use to me without my beloved gun dog anyways :(

Oliva Serie V Torpedo, 6 x 56.
Oliva's cigars are always beautiful and have a good flavor.
"The cigar is stronger than other Olivas, but still in the medium-bodied range. The important thing is that the cigars are rich, teeming with coffee-bean and caramel notes, and have balance and finesse".

Back in the day, during the time I ran an SRT/Dive team in south florida ... we would do weekend dives on my buddies 30 foot Bertram... 2 up 2 down 4 dives in total... and then we would beach on the sandbar in the Jupiter Inlet (where all the wayward scuba bunnies and thong monsters live) and we would break out a bottle of 12 - 16 year old Anejo Rum ... soak the ends of our Cohiba's (purchased in the bahama's) and have a good smoke and drink combo while fileting our catch of the day, and cleaning our lobsters. Really, Really hard to beat those days :)~

I like it! And thanks for the picture of it next to the old standby round one - without that photo, I would have thought it too large.
Have a good evening and night ...

1986 Punch Esquisito.
So in an effort to find the go-to "before work" cigarillo, the MX2 really doesn't disappoint. It's in my top ten so far. Cigarillo's are so different than full sized cigars (with respect to taste. Lots oh wrapper leaf) lol :).
Actually, all joking side, with respect to smaller cigars - CAO shines, and this "Dagger" is a pleasure. Especially if you smoke it slow.

Man! Do I ever love this smoke.

Here is a Beldina Corona the only cigar hand rolled in Portugal in the Azores. In the back is a very good Madeira wine that is great with any cigar.

What is the cigar David?
It's a CAO Criollo Pampas. I recall my first - I thought I got robbed. A little time in the humi and balm - gold! I love them in all sizes, but in the smaller 4x40 segment... not many can take it on for complexity and overall flavor.
I don't recommend cigars often, but this one I do. Buy three. Let em rest. If you don't like the first, try again. If by the third you still dislike it, you'll probably never like it.
Of course that's for guys like me who needed to be educated on the Criollo - I honesty think exposure to the flavor is necessary - its not a powerful stick.
Not bad.

Great little smoke, had let it age for a while in the humi...can't say I've had an AF that I didn't like...hopefully it stays that way!
