Evening pipe & beer. King Charles mixture from Jarl. Lager from Åland isles on the side.

Got a nice new handmade tamper today. made by local blacksmith. Got it from the local pipe club or pipesmokers lodge as it is called here. The style is sort of traditional but works well.

Now that is old school. I really like that black smith tamper, pick and spoon.

I like the sound of that and I made a note of the recipe. I have some unopened 3P at home. The rest I know I can get quite easily but I'm not sure where I can get the Old Joe Kratz. I'll have a look for it online. I was thinking about a cut plug blend kind of how they do Gauntley's Celtic Twilight, which I would recommend very highly if you like strong plugs. It comes as chunks of plug which you can break up by hand to stuff in you pipe. I like all the fiddling about with pipe smoking, so a bit of prep before lighting is part of the fun for me.

This has been my comfy smoking spot for about a week and a half now. Only a week left before I'm back to my usual spot, so I'm going to make the most of it.

That is nice. How many square meters that is?
In Finland we call it 'huvimaja'. Usually they are hexagonal.

Howevers. Had to get to the city rush with wifey again today. Smoked good old Erinmores from Barling. Cell phone pics.

OJK is an Cornell and Diehl Blend, but I'd Imagine that any stout burly heavy blend would work. I leave the plugs in small ~3mm square cubes to be rubbed out just before packing. That Celtic Twilight looks pretty good, I may have to add some on the next order.

Very nice old Autograph, looks to be late 60's or early 70's.
