Unfortunately, Castello's are expensive pipes. They start out a little over 300 and just kind of go up from there.

I got hooked on them in the mid 80's and have been lucky to put a very nice collection of them over the years. I say collection but in reality they are just my everyday smokers. I have honestly not bought a pipe in the last eight years, have enough and my grandsons can use them when I'm gone.

That's interesting. Here it's very common, typical, traditional shape. The hook makes it handy and you can use the opposite side as a hammer.
This old axe is from Kellokoski bruk (iron works). One of those many broks we used to have back then, making knives & tools of good quality for industry, gardening, woodworking and kitchen hardware.
Kellokoski was just one of them. There were at least Sorsakoski, Billnäs, Fiskars, Järvenpää, and several from Kauhava county. Guess nowadays there's only Martiini and Fiskars but they are quite different from what they used to be.

Anyways, here's one to go on this saturday evening. Best Brown #2 from Jarl and some local beer of course.

I thought the back would be for hitting it with a maul and using it like a wedge.

Interesting way to stack hay. Do they move it to the barn or store it the way it is. Do you have a name/word for it?

Torture me if you must with these tranquil pics. Personally I like the way you got the hay stacked.

Hey Sailor, I'm pretty sure you are in the Navy from some of your pics, but do you moonlight for the Finland Tourism Board? Seeing all the beautiful photos you've posted over the years, sure has me wanting to visit your country. Thank you.
