I would think that vacuum sealing bags of tobacco for aging may be a viable option. I did notice when opening a can of Dunhill that there was a definite hiss of air indicating the product was under some vacuum. I am not sure though if oxygen plays a role in the aging process, for some things it is good for. others it is bad, generally speaking. Oxydation can surely have an effect on nicotine but this may not matter as the tobacco has already gone through fermentation and the tobacco is already been changed by air exposure and stabilized to some extent. Just speculation on my part while thinking about the bowl of Frog Mortons cellar blend im about to light so I can get some Latakia flavor experience. I expect I will be pleased judging by the smell of the can.
Cheers and good night gents.Don't drink and shave!

I by no means am an tobacco expert... Some of the things that I have been told and tried are true...
Vacuum sealing takes all the air out, hindering the aging process, apparently tobacco does need some air for the flavor to transform...
As I have been told that each time a container is opened, the tobacco starts a new aging period...Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...

Smoking Frog Morton cellar and things are going almost well . The blend is delightful but slightly prickly on the tongue. This doesn't bother me but my pipe is sounding like a hookah off and on for most of the smoke and in trying to go slow. What gives?
Don't drink and shave!

Thanked: 36I think I know this one. So they walk into the Finnish bar and behind the bar is a duck with a cigar hanging out his mouth. The guy from Iowa says "What the heck?" The duck replies "Quack" and drops the cigar. The Coloradan picks up the cigar and hands it politely back to the duck. "No really. What is this?" says the guy from Iowa. "I dunno" says the guy from Missauri. The Coloradan shrugs while the duck wipes the bar with a grubby cloth. To get to the other side.
