Last I looked at the radar the snow was still 15-20 miles south.

My new to me bulldog. The stem was nice and black at the shop put browned quickly when used.

Nothing coming out of the sky yet. The snow isn't cleaned up properly from the other day.

Tonight i'm revisiting the Falcon with some Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky. A nice semi sweet blend with a nutty character to it. I think I detect a hint of molasses or something similar, maybe a topping they add but I like it just fine. I think the description "dark strong" is misleading to me I find this smoke to be full flavored but no way near strong, ymmv I guess. A thought about the Falcon pipe, I decided to ditch the dry rings all together, it smokes so much better without them. I feel the dry rings restrict draw too much and when the ring starts getting wet it makes a wheezing sound kind of like a pipe smoking asthmatic and I believe it gunks up the flavor. Without the dry ring the pipe draw is quite open so sip softly or the darn thing will heat up like a furnace, but I like the performance of it. I may experiment with other materials maybe those moisture crystals under the bowl might work. Happy piping.

Tried a holiday cigar today. Reminded me why I don't smoke cigars.
