More beautiful pipes to look at, its all so tempting Now I mentioned I would give my impression of Seattle Pipe Clubs Plum Pudding so here goes. This tobacco has a lot going on, components are Black Cavendish, Cavendish, Latakia, Orientals, Turkish, Perique and Virginia. Comes in pressed cakes that crumble up easily and can be rubbed out, it packs quit dense and has an almost tarry consistency in the bowl but don't let that fool you it smokes relatively cool and slow. this tobacco is said to have a medium flavor profile but to me its a wallop of sensory pleasures. When you first light it the blend doesnt talk much but at about 1/3 down the bowl the tobaccos really work in harmony. if I could explain this tobacco and communicate what its like, I would say it tastes like Texas style barbecue in a pipe. Think beef ribs and mesquite smoke, salt and spice hitting your mouth I almost want to chew the end of my pipe hehe. If you like smokey meaty goodness, I would give this stuff a try. Once the briny / salty notes and sweet Virginia join in to the smokey latakia and spicy perique it pretty much stays constant to the end of the bowl and doesn't ramp up in strength very much. I think the Cavendish help round out the smoke flavors and give it body my guess anyway. I quite like this mixture its got familiar traits to many good english / balkan blends but I think the interpretation for me anyway is unique. If you like a good english blend I wouldn't miss this one I like it as much as Dunhill Nightcap and SG squadron leader but I am not comparing them in anyway. Maybe i'm easy to please but this is a nice baccy.

I know a pipe maker in Texas that made a custom ordered pipe from Mesquite and shipped it to Japan... Now that would be BBQ with this blend you describe...

A Castello Collection Fiamatta with Old Joe Krantz, great pipe and tobacco. It's in my favorite pipe holder so a second photo that shows the pipe holder better.

Long story short I ended up with a "new" pipe today. A Kaywoodie Carburetor. The only good {better} picture I got was of the bottom showing the carburetor hole. Bulldog pattern 98B. I have done a little research and am thinking from the 1950"s. I have some experimenting to do but tried a 1/2 bowl quickly with some Drew Estate Meatpie and am happy.

    @ apipeguy...

Do you have any experience with Radice pipes?
