This one is also a Natural Vergin and it has colored very nicely, actually quite a bit darker than it appears in the photo. I very much like watching a very light unstained briar develop over the years, much like a Meerschaum.

I got the note from the postman saying my falcon has finally arrived! I don't think I've ever waited so long for a pipe or tobacco order. I was genuinely starting to think it had been confiscated at customs even though I'm sure it's legal. Thought they'd changed the law when I wasn't looking. I guess there's just a lot of Christmas mail clogging up the system. Pictures soon, although they'll probably be sideways as I'll be posting from my phone and still haven't quite worked everything out.

Spent three hours cleaning some pipes, today. They have been badly neglected for a year or more without a deep cleaning. The smooth top bowls looked rusticated and the rusticated top bowls were becoming smooth. Going to keep smoking dirty pipes until I get through them all. It will take some time still.

When you have the time, could you share your deep cleaning process. I cleaned and refinished 2 pipes last winter and hope to do more this winter. Thanks!
