Missed a few days of pipe or cigar enjoyment due to an ugly sinus infection and rounds of pills and daily injections antibiotics. Could not resist the lack of nicotine and this afternoon enjoyed some Haddo's Delight in my Savinelli Miele estate. Even with both ears still blocked and little sense of taste the nicotine still does it's work nicely. : )

EU is actually quite liberal with the laws concerning tobacco. However what went wrong is that it allows member states to make laws that can be much more strict, thus limiting the rights of it's own citizen. As Norway is not a union member i do not know about laws you have there. It's been years since i visited there, guess a lot has changed ever since.
We have no problems ordering from other union countries, our customs really are not interested but they watch very pedantic what comes from outside union.
I genuinely hadn't thought of ordering from other EU countries. I have a bit of a quiet shift at the hotel tonight, so I'll google about and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the suggestion!

Some of the German cigar and pipe shops have pipe tobacco's I had never heard off. Here is one example. Cigarworld.de | Zigarren und mehr online kaufen

Prices are very high or they seem so to me.

I've not heard of them either Bob. I wonder if those prices include the VAT (value added tax) ? If so exported to the US shouldn't be as much.
    lz6 and apipeguy like this.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Have been on somewhat of a Latakia kick but am getting back to normal now, finishing a bowl of Exclusive in the craggily old work pipe with my mug of milk before bed.

Haunted Bookshop in an Old Antiquari KKKK 32.

On a side note but forum related, my razors are in the finest shape ever. After about a year and a half of straight razor shaving and honing, I have finally been satisfied with my edges. They are all much better than they have ever been, even when new and professionally honed. Perhaps the biggest change is for some reason in the last month my stropping has somehow changed and I am improving the edges dramatically after they come off the 12K Nani. Have gone a month without touching the stones and all four of my daily razors are simply fantastic. Yes, I'm excited about this.

Congrat's on the straights coming together for you apipeguy. It is great feeling when it finally all falls into place with ones straight razors. One gets to know their different straights so well that you just understand the little changes in honing and stropping each and it comes automatically as you touch them up.

Nice pipes as well. : )

Just had some Dunhill Aperitif in a Savinelli 623 rusticated bent bulldog. Nice blend this one slightly sweeter than 965 with a little cavandish forward and a little lighter on the Latakia. very well balanced and delicious with plumes of creamy smoke. Nice blend smoked fresh out of the tin with perfect moisture at opening.
