Beautiful pipes Rusen.
Started off my day on the patio with black coffee and Haunted Bookshop in my GBD Lovat estate. Nice blend to start the day.
Just finished some C&D Bijou in my La Savinelli acorn which was a very kind PIF from Jimmy. The Bijou is 2003 Eastern North Carolina Red Virginias and small leafed Katerini with a touch of honey before being pressed and sliced. Estimated to peak in 10 to 15 years. Wonderful aroma with my nose almost resting on the flakes in the just opened can. The honey was there along with other sweet rich smells. Smoked mild and sweet but lacking more distinct flavors.Bob

Thanked: 18Earlier I stated I no longer smoke. I use to have several pipes and perfered the calibash because its chamber gave the smoke time to cool. My wife does not like the scent of any smoke as it makes her sick so I had to stop for her sake. Life is so much easier now. Some how my memory lingers on the past. Can't say I had favorite tobaccos because I did not smoke a pipe long enough to appreciate the finer points,

Yeah, I know what you mean. If I was the type of smoker who could just smoke one bowl in the evening, or like some guys I know, one every few days or weeks, that would be one thing, but I am almost always puffing on a pipe. It takes a lot of time and money, and even though I don't inhale, I know it isn't doing me any good. Can't seem to want to quit more than I want to smoke though.

Well if you think its a problem than it is. Maybe you might be able to cut down some, space your bowls farther apart. Start with small steps like removing one or two bowls from your routine. Maybe replace that with something that will keep you busy so its less annoying. Not trying to preach abstinence in any way but moderation is a good way in life. The ancient Greeks were on to something.

I don't smoke when I sleep, sometimes for 8 hours straight ! I might dream that I'm smoking though, but that doesn't count.

Well it's been along time coming...
Up and out the door at 0400 to head to the hospital for a scheduled surgical procedure on the wife... 16 hours later I'm home and she's still in the hospital until Thursday... All is well...
Beautiful evening in Iowa, about 62 degrees, clear sky's and no wind...
Meager MM Cob with PS Bullseye Luxury Flake... I had forgotten how mild and cool smoking this blend was/is... Very nice tonight...
One of my pups hadn't seen nor been around me when I've smoked my pipe, she reminded me of me as a kid... Up on my uncles lap to smell the aroma... She (Meep) couldn't get enough, sniffing and smelling the air...
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...
