    After procrastinating for a week, I popped open one of my tins of Haddo's Delight. It was very nice but could stand a little more aging. Actually found four one pound tins, so I'll continue to work on the open one and leave the other three to age a bit longer (6-months to a year). The first bowl was smoked in a Castello Castello 33 with a rounded top. I do love the unique tin aroma.

    Regrettably I go through the leaf too quick for it to age. I'm a common sewer of pipe tobacco, as a guy on a tobacco forum used to have in his sig line .......

    Broke down and picked up an unsmoked, signed Ismet Bekler on the bay. Probably a 1970s-'80s piece. Using a paper towel to keep finger oils from affecting the coloring of the pipe, my second time smoking it.

    Seller's pic, and my pic ;

    I hadn't messed with Meerschaum since the 1980s. At that time I thought it was too much of a hassle, but I've slowed down a bit since my thirties. The seller was a lovely lady whose late father collected pipes. She is liquidating and I was able to get a really great deal on the pipe.

    Looks sweet Jimmy. Just remember to twist off the stem in a clockwise direction. If your worried about the coloring, the sms website recommends that you hold it by the stem when smoking and do about 2bowls per day until it colors to your liking then you can hold it any way you want. I love my new Meerchaum I think it smokes great and the flavor is very bright and clean.
