A Castello Sea Rock shape 75 lovat with the uncommon white stem. Great smoker
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

This evening I am delving into something a little different for me. Dunhill Royal Yacht, a nice assertive blend of darker Virginias topped with some sort of plum essence. Technically I would say this is an aromatic but for me doesn't present itself as the typical Aro most people are used to. This stuff kicks hard in the Nic department and a deep Virginia powers through any plum flavoring they might of used in fact mid bowl I can barely discern any hint of topping. A very nice full flavored smoke in my opinion and it kind of reminds me of Haddos Delight without perique in its flavor profile. Pretty darn good when you need a kick in the pants. Enjoyed in a Savinelli rusticated 101.
Cheers gents

Tonight it's just me and the Meer enjoying one of my favorite Vapers. The exquisite taste of red and stoved Virginias and the solid Perique tang of St James Woods by McClelland.

Thanked: 1160Gonna be up doing some art work for the Kitty Kat shelter so time to get my Norman Rockwell on. Decided to go outside the box and mixed up some leftover Chocolate nut tobacco with some Mac B Black Ambrosia...so far I'm still alive. Utilizing a Viking Copenhagen straight pot.

So since I'm breaking her in, out came the Randy Wiley again. Smoking some McClelland Dark Star Flake. I find it amazing that this stuff never dries out unless you pulverize it and leave it out for a good while. I Kept this in the tin for almost a year and its still wet to the touch. Kind of strange most other tobaccos would dry out this one no way.

Holy molly that's quite the collection sir! I'm excited to start adding pipe collecting to my 'mantiques'. Just haven't had the funds or the opportunities arise yet. I think I'm going to start creating one soon. As soon as I get a few projects out of the way here. But I truly hope one day I have a collection like that. Bravo sir.
What's the price of pipe tobacco like there gents? Close to cigarettes? More, less? A carton of store boughts are roughly 60-80 $ here.Last edited by Wightman; 10-02-2017 at 04:57 AM.

Interesting question not easily answered due to the tax structure of USA. This country operates as a federation of 50 different states and each of those states can do pretty much what they want when it comes to taxing tobacco and alcohol. Add to that what even cities can levy a tax against tobacco as well. one extreme would be say NY state I believe it cost about 11 bucks a pack NY city in the near future will add another $2.50 to that making it $13.50. Pipe tobacco is taxed completely differently and not nearly as expensive if you think of the quantity of tobacco you are actually purchasing. Typical 2 oz tin of pipe tobacco is about 10 bucks if you buy bulk depending how much you buy could be about 3-4 dollars. And that price reflects a quality brand. Now you can delve into the world of budget pipe tobaccos and that price might be cut in half once again. I cant really tell you how much any pipe tobaccos would cost in any given state as they tax things as they like and for sure new regulations will bring prices up in the near future. Funny to think back in the day a bunch of guys were dumping shiploads of tea into Boston harbor over this sort of thing and look where it got them couple of hundred years later.
