Just for fun, here is one that I finished last night....an Acorn with Burmese Blackwood. The stem is hand cut ebonite.

    Nice pipe, Alex

What is the 'white elephant' ?
My friend has a meerschaum pipe with an elephant stamped into stem. No other marks. He believes it is Countryman Tanganyika pipe (at least it looks the same) but cannot be sure.

My pipe has the same stamp, but after polishing the stem, elephant became black.
My pipe also is marked "Genuine Block Meerschaum 133".
White Elephant is logo of Tanganyika Meerschaum Corporation from the United Republic of Tanzania.

Crichton, The acorn is elegant! Beautiful work. You are a true artisan.

Thomas, The Vauen and Jirsa are perfect picks for Alex (Manah). From his posts, these type pipes look to match his taste and preference. He should be very pleased. I/we look forward to pictures of you two together in Isreal!

    Best, Jimbo
