Irish Flake is good classic stuff. If you like it then i would recommend to try SG Bracken Flake sometimes. It is like ugly weight-lifting big brother of Irish Flake.
A friend of mine once said after trying BF's that it is not tobacco at all. It is rather carved of bloody Russian railroad block. Within the smoke you can feel the tortured souls of all those road gang prisoners that now have returned to get their righteous revenge. Good stuff too.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

Thanked: 1185Irish Flake Update- 3 bowls of this today. I really do like it and I think this is one of those blends that will just grow on me as time goes by. It does indeed have a very nice, classic old school kind of appeal to it. Like you strolled into the company store of some coal mining company 100 years ago and purchased some no kiddin' shag burley. This stuff definitely ain't for the faint of heart and the room note is not likely to bring accolades from the womenfolk. Like my beloved Old Joe Krantz it would seem Irish Flake is right there on the edge of harsh (only crossing the tipping point when inhaled) and packs one devil of a wollop. What's not to like? If you smoke to relax this one's for you. After my afternoon smoke break today, I doubt I would have gotten very excited if my life depended on it. It was like I went out and drank 4 fingers of Jameson on my break Speaking of Jameson, I'd bet that the earthy undertone to Irish Flake would be a wonderful companion to a bit of John Jameson on the rocks. Now that might just be an experiment worth pursuing as I've come to the end of my gin. My quinine level seems to have been adequately elevated and I think I'll be OK for the malaria season now.

04-28-2011, 02:43 AM #1898I thought I made the post, but I guess it didn't take...
I love my cobs... They are easy to care for, cheap and all you do is load, light and smoke...
Everything tastes better in a cob... If not... and the tobacco ghosts... Throw it away...
I figued that I would post since Stephen hadn't yet...
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...
