    @ Tomi,
    I was a commander of tank units and can you tell a lot about tanks.
    By my mind:
    This mortar shot 25cm bullets, but effective shooting distance should be no more than 500m.
    Maybe there are a lot of artillery experts here in the forum.

    Thanks. I think we will visit in Germany next year. Would be nice to meet you and your family! I'll have to negotiate with the government (wife).

    I know something about guns, tanks and AFV's as well. I served my conscript year (so long ago) at the coastal artillery. After that year i recruited and served about 10 years at Coastal Jaegers/Transport Squadron.

    In Eastern Germany SPW 60 PB and the following machines.

    I can't tell a lot about the tanks.
    But in 1988-90 I was a commander of such BRDM.

    often used by recon units.
