I know what you mean. Never been in Kuwait but i've been in Heathrow as well as in Dubai. Later was ok but Heathrow was way too big place for me.
Anyways. You were in Middle east. I appreciate the work you've done. I've served in Lebanon (Unifil), Kosovo/Bosnia (Kfor) and Southeast Africa (EUfor/RCA): Chad mostly, but some trips to Djibouti, Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia as well.
Would be nice to sit down some day, take a beer and a pipe and talk about all the different places we've been thrown at. Off course there are times and things i do not want to remember, but there were some good days as well. Like they say: some days are of diamonds, and the rest are of grey stone.

Looks to me like you have been worse places than me... Many day I would like to forget... But many I have to remember, in a good way...

Come to Iowa and we can drink corn whiskey and smoke the pipe... Maybe you will want to relocate

I'm not sure, that beer would be enough.
Usually, such talking had finishing with some liters of whiskey or ...vodka.

I wish we got some snow soon also.
