Thread: Pipe of the Day

Or, any other of the popular Samuel Gawith blends. I don't know why. Full Virginia Flake got a four star rating @ tobaccoreviews.com quite awhile back. There are whole threads on the pipe forums bemoaning their unavailability in the States. Squadron Leader and Chocolate Flake are two of my favorites, too! Tongue in cheek......our European brothers should refrain from teasing us with Sam Gawith POTD posts.

Third day in a row for me with a pipe.
This time it was a bit harder keeping it light towards the bottom. Must have been all the ash.
That being said not even half a pipe still took well over an hour to smoke.
Does it usually take so long?? Not that I'm complaining I love being able to just sit back and relax.

Sorry guys been out for a bit, as always great pictures everyone. It's been way to damn hot to sit outside and smoke (108 today and after the sun went down it dropped to a cool 98) so I haven't been smoking much lately. Burned a bowl of northwoods out of a Nording a couple of days ago while driving. Man I can't wait till it cools off just a little bit, or the wife lets me smoke inside

I can feel your pain. Last few days have been too hot here. Not as hot as there but more than enough for me. I do not like it when it gets over 20 C (68 F) and when the weather goes over 25 C (77 F) it is like hell on earth to me.
Luckily on the evening it cools down enough so i can enjoy my pipe (+beer and book) outdoors.
This evening it is estate Butz-Choquin "St.Claude". It was such a mess when i got it some time ago but finally cleaned out pretty well.
Capstan Original Navy Cut and Estonian lager.
Have a nice evening.
