Gentlemen,
I replied earlier in this thread that I had aquired an Edwardian pipe cabinet from fleabay and that would post some pictures when I got back from my latest trip away to work, well here it is, with three clay pipes, two are tavern pipes and unsmoked at this stage, the other is a Victorian era clay in a lovely leather case. It was badly blocked but some acetone and a bit of fine fencing wire fixed that. After a washout with water and time to dry , tried it out, smokes really well, does not take a large amount of tobbaccy which isn't a bad thing.
Cheers all

I have never seen a clay like that... It is awesome... I'll have search for one... It seems that it would be comfortable to smoke with a a modern day bit/stem...
FYI, another way to clean a clay is to place the bowl in a fire, all the "goo" with loosen up and clean out easier...

First what exactly is a tavern pipe. I know its a long stem pipe but why is it so and are there any other differences. Secound what's going on in Norway?
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

I've had my eye on a lorenzetti Pipe.
Maybe the Nero or one of the Caesars. Would you guys say they are worth it?Shaving_story on Instagram

@Basil:
Haven't tried a Lorenzetti myself yet but haven't heard anything bad about them....
Last night it was Montford Point Marine in a refurbished Butz Choquin
And again in an EJH
This morning it's back to Chelsea Morning in a Tony Rodriguez
