Nice winter day here. Smoked some CF from the Sailor pipe.
Local service dog team arranged a snow ride on ice for kids. Here's wifey and one of our doggies working.

Who had more fun? The kids, or the doggie!!?? Awesome way to spend the day!! You're lucky to be in a position to be able to do that.

For today I chose a south-african handmade zulu pipe in ebony, with my newest acquisition: Brebbia Sinfonia no. 23.

Well, as promised a gun pipe photo. I like this POTD photo for a few reasons. those reasons in no particualar order of preference.

    1. The rifle is colloqially called a "Smelly" due to the way SMLE (Short Magazine Lee Enfield) sounds when said quickly. So it's my Smelly Pipe photo .

    2. The militaristic look of tobacco packaging the Australian Govt. is forcing upon suppliers and end users. Governments of the world, supply your soldiers with Aussie packaged tobacco products and save the men (and women) the expense of camoflaging their own.

and last but not least lets not forget the story of the Chinese/Australian Sniper during WWI, Billy Sing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. He spent his last days, in poverty, not too far from where I currently live. A sad indictment on the Australian government at the time, for not looking after their returned servicemen better. Although some of that was also just the way life goes for so many people sometimes.
