Thanked: 1185You and your daughter are obviously people of impeccable taste What kind of Peterson is that? Here lately I've been in the process of acquiring things I've wanted for years and never actually gotten around to buying. First there was the Merkur 37C (great razor BTW), then there was the Kindle I've been promising myself for years. I suspect a nice Peterson (one like your's would be great) is the next thing on the list.
As for my O'Dark early smoke, here it is Cornell and Diehl Old Joe Krantz in a 7723C (pre-1938) Kaywoodie
The older I get, the better I was

It's the Peterson Kinsale XL23, Rustic with a P-lip. It's a fantastic pipe. For anyone who doesn't own a Peterson with a P-lip, I recommend skipping lunch and running out to buy one right now.Last edited by SantamourJr; 05-02-2013 at 03:41 PM.

Hello pipe guys. I have been thinking about smoking a pipe for years. I don't smoke, and I am pretty physically active. I run, cycle, play basketball, swim laps during the spring and summers, hike and fish. If I don't inhale, and smoke 1-2 bowls a day, do you think that will affect my running, cycling, etc? I've read different responses to this question on the internet, so I thought I'd ask you all. Thanks.
BTW eTom, nice Jeep, and congrats!

If you're a non-smoker...don't try it.
Every kind of smoking affects your condition.

Thanked: 1160I'm going to play devils advocate on this one. So ya wanna live to be eighty. Let's see...by that time most of your friends will either be dead or decrepit or suffering from all sorts of joint related aches and pains and maladies from all the physical activities they did when they were young ....one thing for sure in life.....is you will die someday. You also may not make it to eighty, you could die tomorrow . There is no guarantee. There's plenty of old school dudes out there who are pipe smokers and they still get on a bike and go for walks in the woods(lots of hunters, anglers and outdoorsman smoke pipes)......maybe not on Olympian levels but they still get around. also....you don't have to smoke a pipe every five minutes or every day to be considered an official pipe smoker. Moderation in anything remember. So it's up to you how much and often you smoke your pipe. And.....pipe smoking is not addictive like gnarly old cigarrets . Unless you are say one of those rare addictive personality type who just can't get enough of anything they touch. Cheers !
