The pipes were shown often before. There is a large balcony and a nice weather for smoking a pipe outside. Be sure I'll do it after dinner. It will be a Vauen...what else.

My companions today will be a generic pocket pipe and a pouch of Peterson's Sherlock Holmes mixture. Happy Memorial Day.

Ode to the Cob..... Because it's always dependable. Never hardley a break in is needed save for one full complete smoke in the first bowl. Always a smooth smoke I have found. Always comfortable like a favorite old sweater vest. Laughed at by some for it's popeye appearance. Visions of old sea captains at the wheel or old cajuns sitting sitting on the porch lazily yet focused on the sipping of their favorite smoke from their trusty old cob. I love my briars, but sometimes a cob is all that will do. Whether it's taking a walk on a quiet fall day or having a good after supper smoke or maybe just a campfire contemplation of life and times. Nothin like a good ol cob. Tonight it's MacBaren Scottish blend in my newest Pony Express Missouri Meerschaum. Pictured are two Pony Express and one Diplomat converted to a Nosewarmer with a Walker Briarworks short "Forever" stem and nickle stem ring. Cheers guys !Name: 001.jpg

Friday eve home coming pipe & beer.
Having some Capstan blue from thick walled Vauen. Thick walls make very relaxing cool smokes. Drinkings some beer from Benedictine monestry of Plankstetten, Germany. Good stuff.
It was a nice moments just to sit down and relax; forget the previous work week. And watch the blue tits making a nest in the garden. Soon to be proud and busy fresh parents.

    Gentlemen...

I have recently received my Dr Plumb Quintex... About 10 minutes ago actually. I intend on firing it up in not too long. However I have a query. With my cob when I am done I just pass apipe cleaner down it and let it to cool, however I cant do this for 2 reasons, the hole in thebit is tiny and it has a metal condenser type dealy that goes into the shank... any ideas of what I should do after my smoke?

    Any help appreciated.
