Bing's favorite or "chubby" pipe?
I've got a limited budget, but I should be purchasing my next pipe in a week or two. However, I'm torn and need some advice.
I'm thinking of purchasing a Bing's Favorite Savinelli, because I think it would be a great everyday pipe for me. However, I would also like to purchase a "chubby" pipe for when I'm on the lawnmower and doing yard work all summer.
Anyone have experience with either style of pipe or suggestions? Right now, I'm leaning towards purchasing the Bing's Favorite and also picking up a shorter cob to hold me over for a few months until I can save up for another pipe. The reason I would like a shorter pipe is that one that stays closer to my face is more suitable for the outdoor work that I do (clearing brush and work that has me pushing through a good amount of branches/limbs/obstacles).
I also received an early father's day gift from my wife. She bought me a Peterson Dublin Churchwarden. It's a great smoker and the bowl holds more tobacco than I imagined. It's a very nice smoke as I walk around my office trying to put together my ideas for upcoming research and papers.God be in my head and in my understanding. God be in my eyes and in my looking. God be in my mouth and in my speaking. God be in my heart and in my thinking. God be at my end and my departing. -Amen

Thanked: 1185The picture reminded me of a tobacco that is actually called Trout Stream HPCS Bulk - Trout Stream (by the ounce)
I'm generally not a huge fan of aromatics but this one is truly one of the rare "Gee your pipe smells great!" tobaccos that are actually really good smokes. I wouldn't care to smoke it every day but when the sweet tooth strikes it is one of the best aromatics out there (IMHO, YMMV, etc.)The older I get, the better I was

Greetings from Italy.
Today we arrived in Canazei (Dolomites)
This week they got nearly two feet snow, but the streets are free. Tomorrow I'll find out if "my" trails are snow-free too.
Stay tuned, tomorrow I'll post some pictures.

Thanked: 1185Butternut Burley in a Four Digit Kaywoodie
Butternut Burley is a bit more cased than my ordinary fare and is vaguely similar to a Lanes blend. I doubt it's any threat to OJK for the first chair but its a decent light, "doing something else" smoke. The older I get, the better I was

First tour:
Passo Pordoj, Passo di Falzarego, Passo di Gardena, Passo di Sella
A lot of buses with "silver-head-people" we met too.
The bus stopped, Silver-head get out, one line...take a fu... picture...entered the bus again.
It would be a cruel to me and my wife.
