Alas I don't yet know. Bought it as an estate yesterday and haven't cleaned it up yet.

The two I own smoke well. I think you will enjoy your new meerschaum.

BTW... Your meerschaum does not appear to have been used very much.

Its a Dr. Plumb quintex. I already have a bent quintex which I rather like so it wasan easy choice and at £5 I really couldn't say no.

I bought from thibls donation a donegaul. A straight quintex which needs some work and a merschaum which also needs some work. If we don't sell all on the group they will be opened to ebay. (Will keep you updated) tried my presbetarian tonight. Very happy.

    Geek,

Congrats for the nice pipes and for the donation to children. It's a precious thing you gents are doing there.

I've read some about Scotland and Edinburgh. Of course you can never read enough. However, i have to ask if you have tobacco shops there? (even the lack of them wouldn't be so essential to me afterall).

The reason i ask is that we're about to get to holiday for say 5-7 days later this fall. There's few low-cost carrier companies flying from my home town to several places in Europe, Edinburgh being one of them. Maybe to rent a car and drive around and see some places. Sleep in B&B. Easy living and so. We've been in England but never in Scotland.

Of course while wife's still thinking about where, Edinburgh is just one option. Others are Gdansk (already been there), Riga (already been there) Copenhagen and Budapest, but as we already have plans to make a Baltic tour (drive around the Baltic Sea) next summer, then Edinburgh and Budapest seem to be the strongest options right now.

And back to topic: just my evening pipe while taking on of the doggies for a walk. (Got back home just in time to watch the world championships in Athletics from Moscow: Bolt and Dibaba made some great runs.)

It definitely is a good cause indeed.

There are 3 tobbaconists I know of in Edinburgh.

If you do come to Edinburgh there are a multitude of tour companies that do day trips to the lochs and likes. Adn if you happen to be in Edinburgh I highly recommend a shop called oink. The only thing it sells are three varying sized buns filled with roast pork.

In Salinas this evening for an early morning court appearance, sitting in the outside lounge area of the hotel after an early dinner and enjoying some Escudo in the Nording Bison while reading a book and texting my wife, whom I miss already. No sunshine here, just coastal fog. Looking forward to getting back home tomorow to my family and good summer sun and warmth. I did bring a Hart 7/8 that I touched up this morning on a Naniwa 12k, so I should have a good shave in the morning.

BTW, this little pipe gives a good long smoke. Been out here just over an hour, and I think I just finished the bowl. Adios!
