Good morning Gents,
Early morning pipe & coffee in a damn cold. Currently we have about 40 cm of snow and the temps are -20 C (-4 F).
Pipe: probably my favorite pipe. Cheap end Pete.
Tobacco: Erinmore flakes
Coffee from a self made mug called Kuksa.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

Anyone here inhale...?
I know your not suppose to but the the tabacco seems much milder than most premium cigars. Some of these pipes also have filters, I smoke cigarettes myself ( i know eww)... so was wondering if ppl inhale here...
Probably won't take this up until I'am 40 or so when I start wearing tweed and what not!.. but i'll give it a try.

Good points here,
Most people i know do not inhale pipe tobacco or cigars. There is no need to do so.
Most aromatic pipe tobaccos are rather mild, but there are some strong ones as well. Petes Irish Flake or SG's Bracken Flake are very strong blends that -poetically- almost blow your head off
There are not many pipe smokers around here and i think it is a shame. Quitting cigarettes was probably the best decision i've ever made. I never really enjoyed the taste i got from cigarettes. Nowadays i can't try cigarettes as they taste like smoking paper
I still have no tweed Pipe smoking -imho- is no snobbish tool, elitism or fashion. Just another way to enjoy smoking and getting my nicotine shot. Some smoke pipe just because they like it. Try it and get hooked!!
We have a saying that some like daughters, some like mothers and some like them both.

To answer the question no I never inhale when smoking a pipe. Enjoying the taste is plenty satisfying for me. I smoke Virginias as well as Balkan and English Latakia blends as well as blends of the above with a bit of Perique thrown in for good measure.
