I haven't tasted 2011 edition but i had a small sample of their 2010 edition. It was rather mild but heavily aromatized, sweet tobacco. One of those i could smoke indoors without getting, eh, negative feedback from my wife
Very nice tobacco, think i have to get a sample of this too.
Damn you gents have your pipe tobaccos cheap there. It costs almost twice as much here'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

Thanked: 488Sailor I have noticed how much higher tobacco is over there. I guess the cause would be government taxes??? Here is the link for membership for those of us not in the UK.

Thanks you sir for the link.
Tobacco is really expensive here. Mostly for taxes, but another reason for this is that there are not much pipe or cigar smokers here. That's why there are no much tobacco shops either, so those few still left have to keep their prices high to survive. As far as i know, there are only 3 or 4 tobacco shops left in the whole country, luckily one of them in my town. Of course regular cheap tobacco is sold almost everywhere and it is not so expensive as those so called better tobaccos. However there are heavy taxes on cheap tobaccos as well.Last edited by Sailor; 12-14-2010 at 07:29 PM.

Thanked: 488Sailor our closest city of any size used to have three regular pipe and tobacco shops and now in the last two years we have one. One is better than none but it's a shame.
This one has been open since 1952 and the owner is in his early 80's so I have no idea how long he'll stay open or if there are family plans to keep it open. Heck if he closed if I could get it and just break even I'd do it!
I do love sitting in comfy chairs behind the counter talking to him for a couple of hours whenever I go down there.
We also have a bunch of those cheap tobacco stores which have nothing but roll your own tobacco's and in general just junk!
Thank heavens for the internet:-)
Oh yea I'm joining the PCOL in a week or so.Hey Tom can you join anytime of the year it's not very clear when you read the information?? I have my logo made up and ready to use once I get the member number:-)Last edited by Gunner777; 12-14-2010 at 09:44 PM.
