I removed it and the tobacco immediately and cleaned the sone which is currently being air dried. I have looked through the rest of the tobacco and it looks fine. So i filled a bowl and about halfway through wondered if I should still be smoking this tobacco??????

On second thought there didn't seem to be any great answers there either....Inhaling or ingesting bad mold is not healthy , so I would say throw it. Just my opinion.

I think this will likely be my course of action. The stuff that had no mold on it is still in the can sitting in my cupboard. But I guess if there was fuzz on some of it then there every likelihood to be spores throughout.

Oh wells a lesson learned and all that. I think I'll tale the rest of my tobaccos and transfer them into cleaned sealable coffee jars. Altough I have learnt to keep them amd the humidifying stone thing apart amd to keep an eye on them more thoroughly.

I've been going crazy getting ready for our pipe show at the end of this month/ begging of next. I you haven't attended you really need to! We have world famous carvers from all over the world, people come from over 66 countries. It's 5 days of seminars trading buying and selling. There are no more tables left (323 tables) for vendors but we do have a stand by list, there has been occasion that a flight gets missed overseas or some arises that they can't make it. Stop by the web site and check out the schedule,we've added more seminars and a tobacco throw down where 4 different tobacconists will try to match an old blend, this year is an English (I forget what blend) There will be samples to try and after 2 days by vote the winner is announced and that blend will be tinned and available for sale shortly in the following month or so. We've also added a cigar affair on Thursday night and hosted by 5 local stores with each offering different discounted cigar lines, there will be live music and raffles along with give aways.

Haven't had a change to stay home for too many days during the last month or so. So i've been sad, pissed off and up to my neck for all this that seems to been going on lately, specially in Eastern Europe.

Howevers. Now having a sort of a vacation for 10 days (with the obligation to get back to work within 6 from of the call).
So here's my friday home coming pipe & beer: McConnell Scottish Flakes from Savinelli. Carl Friedrich lager. Good stuff.

Hang in there Sailor. Enjoy the time off and try not to let the other crud encroach too much on your space. Best wishes to you and your family.
