Good read you have. I've read some about Ernest Shackleton and Endurance. That is one of the greatest true naval stories ever told.

I'm mentally having a pipe with Sailor and listening to that beautiful bird sing. Actually ,I'm awaiting getting ready for work and wasn't hungry for breakfast..so, instead it was coffee and a Butz Choquin Diam pipe full of Fragrant Virginia flake Mmmm !

Some long needed sun, and a cob of seven seas on the patio. This was my first ever pipe, and after learning more and not smoking it in an age it's such a good smoke.

The Rattray Dark Fragrant is running out and the transition has been to Sam's Flake. SF served up in a Brakner Antique #1212 cherrywood is one of my favorite pipe/tobacco combinations.
