You can see there has been many a hair from this dog off his leg, and you can just make out the scar from the surgery he's had three weeks ago. That's the only visible sign of the two grand I spent on him...Well that and the limp that's slowly going away as he gains strength back.

Sorry to hear. We had almost the same last summer with one of our doggies. Broke the bones from the fron leg. Took more than 8 months to heal but the doggie will never be a real runner or jumper again. My wife used to train it with volunteer s/r service but those days are over for good. Was an expensive surgery but luckily we have an insurance.
Had to give the rest 2 of our dogs to stay with our daughter & wannabe-son-in-law to prevent this from playing too rough with the others while healing. Hope she gives 'em back soon

    Mick,

I was watching the Eurovision semifinals the other day (do not know why, i'm not really interested in that kind of noise pollution).
Howevers, i saw that within the audience there were many Aussies, waving Australian flag. Wth?
If you really want to join in the contest, you should move your continent bit closer first.

I saw Eurovision was on the TV here. Wife and I looked at each other and said "NAH!" and picked up our books instead (Well I'm on the computer right now of course, but I'm going back to my book soon.) I'm with you. It's noise pollution.
On the subject of dogs. My bloke has had a cruciate ligament replacement on his leg. He tore the ligament clean through, probably doing something stupid, but what can ya do. The dog is my furriest kid. I had to get him sorted out. Mate of mine has just got his dog (A Maremer [spl?]) back on all fours after she took off during a storm and got her front leg broken by a car hitting her.

Anyway, I better finish checking the other subscribed threads for now and go have a puff before getting sorted for bed. The cooler weather is not lasting. Just a few days and it's already getting warm again. Not much of an Autumn. Hopefully Winter will bring some cooler weather. I like having a pipe on a crisp, clear night.
