You lose Bob, but you have a lovely pipe. JV marks his pipes 'Hand Made' for one grade and 'Hand Cut' for another. The numeral 2 is based on size or pecking order, can't remember which. Beautiful birdseye on that one though and I love the shape. Glad you are enjoying it.

Thanks Jimmy. I meant I have have not seen on the net his markings without Canada or the year included nor have I seen the number in the circle with a line through it. Just wondered if that was unusual or if he has been changing his marking format over the years? Yea I believe a circle 2 is the lowest grade.

Friday afternoon pipe. UF from Jirsa.

And the first greenfinch i've seen this year. This dude was just hanging around at the neighborhood. It is a sure sign of a forthcoming spring.

I'm alive guys, just been buried after a blizzard. 16" in my front yards and I found drifts between 4-7 feet. Haven't been smoking a ton lately either......been paying more attention to the ice . Somebody mentioned Nording freehands? I love all 3 of mine. As mentioned, mine were also a little tough to break in but all are fantastic smokers. I'll get a group pic later.

I smoked a bowl of Carter Hall in my Altinok Apple Spigot a little earlier. Now it will be two pipes: The IMP Calabash and the Altinok Apple Spigot, both with Frog Morton. On the side is some Glenmorangie The Quinta Ruban 12 Year Old. I'll be watching a couple of episodes of the Walking Dead on the tablet. Life doesn't suck...

Wish I was out in a cabin boat on that water with a pipe a glass off hot tea and a chessboard.

Otherwise ok but that's ice. You would be stuck with the small boat. Have to wait at least for a month.
