I've read most, but not all, of Saramagos work. The style needs really some work, but once you get it, it's really rewarding experience.
He is (or sadly was) one of the great modern writers, along with the names like Peter Høeg of Denmark or Richard Ford and Jim Harrison from USA. And so many others.

With the books aside, it's time for an evening pipe. Great oriental: Tuarekh from Leonardo Bombarda. Red Rooster ale as a 'chauffeur kid' (as we say here).

    I don't recognize that pipe "T"...that a new one ??

I've had it for several years. Just haven't used it much. Don't know why, it's a good smoker.

But here's my afternoon pipe & coffee at the s/s Bore III (nowadays it's cafe, pub, dancing bar and hostel). Tillerman flakes from Norup.

Would be nice to have lunch and a beer there.

Outside enjoying a bowl of Seattle Pipe Club's Plum Pudding in a Pete. This is a very tasty Balkan Blend. Have a good Sunday evening fellow pipers.
