You know, no lie here .....I think I could one day seriously consider retiring in Finland. Really seems to tug at my country boy heart strings. Just looks too much like my Birth state of Michigan. And If I had too, I don't think I would mind having to learn Finnish.

You are welcome if you ever so decide.
We have few these things called cities and the rest is just forests, lakes and rivers with no much population. Or sea and archipelago where i live.

People come here to either to visit historic medieval or older places or then just for wildlife and silence. Or weird finns that do not talk much. Climate is somewhat the same as in Canada.
Most go to Lapland to enjoy the wilderness, snow or to watch 'the campfire of the fox', as we say (Aurora Borealis).

However i've never heard anyone tourist saying that learning Finnish would be easy. I do not know why.
I think Polish is difficult with all that wrzzwz and grwyzzcrzc and all.

Hahahaha .....I love to hear Polish being spoken too hahahah.....but you're right there is alot of Wizzzzin goin on there hahahaha......Campfire of the Fox...geeze, sounds so Michigan like. But then again as you and I have mentioned in conversation together, we got a lot of Northern European heritage goin on up there so no big surprise. Yeah and I would probably be sorta like one of those wierdo Finns up there too except slightly more talkative. Are Finns into ghost stories at all ? Nothin better than sitting around a campfire smokin yer pipe and hearing a good spooker to get the neck hairs raised up Heh heh.

I could also picture doing a lot of contemplative pipe smoking and canoeing up and around those islands and lakes. Sounds like a miserable time eh ? Who would want peaceful nights and relaxing pipe time ha ha.

Random pictures not just of today.

I like Sailors pictures with the shoe last. I finally dug out some I have and they didn't work so well. This is a number 4.

Some medallions that a friend made for me. He cut them a little thick. Not bad but he needs more practice!
