After seeing all these nice pipes, i decided to take up the hobby !!! Got myself a few MM cobs and a sampler 5 pack from C&D tobacco. I am trying to find out what i like. I also have a Charatan bend Billiard (estate) on its way from Marty Pulvers Prior Briar Shop, can wait for it !!!!

OK... I'm only going to say this ONCE! Or maybe twice or three times...

For anybody that is wanting to get into pipes... It does not have to be expensive...

I love my $4.00 MM Cobs... Probably more than my $100.00 briars... My Dr. Grabows smoke as well as anything else I have tried...

There are so many types/blends of tobaccos to try... And do not rule out the "Drug" store brands... Prince Albert, Velvet, Captain Black and so on..., they make an excellent go too smoke...

Probably the number one thing to learn is proper packing... It's trial and error on your part... So many people can tell you how to do it... but it does take practice...

    ENJOY!

I'm glad to see that there are so many "new" people that are wanting to take up the relaxing enjoyment of the pipe...

Here's me and Stany, prepping for SAT Teacher training this weekend. A rather cloudy bowl of my shop's match to Early Morning.

    Alex,

I've never seen that stamp before. At first i thought it looked a little like John Kent or La Scala pipe logo but i was wrong. If you find any info about the maker please let us know.

Well here's another Friday eve going on soon. This time it will be Sailor pipe with SG Kendal Cream and strong beer while watching Finland - Russia ice hockey from TV.
    Have a nice Friday, Gents!

I decided not to wait, until the pipe will identified.
    And I'm smoking it.
This pipe is very similar to "White Elephant" ...but with "pipe bird".
