    Those old Ropp's are nice pipes - I have a few myself. They are made from Cherrywood trees and the shanks are actual branches from the trees. Good smokers!

    I had a Ropp once... It was an eBay find... I had a stem made for it from Walker's... I never had good luck with smoking it... I think it was the way the chamber was drilled... I was tempted to take a drill to it... I traded instead...

    I actually wanted to fix the split in the bowl. I got my son to get some pottery clay from a friend (not wanting to use chemicals (illogical, I know, since tobacco has one or two), that didn't work, but I find it works OK anyway, even with the crack. The lightness is what I like. It'd be interesting to know why they made 'junior' pipes. This came in a set for last Father's day with a much larger Ropp; same sort of style and wood...
