Tom, I hope the station is AllClassical.org. It is Portland, OR based and heard all over the world. It plays at least 12 hours a day in my house. Can't think two thoughts with out them in the background. It fuels my creative work (and the sewing also.)

I have no idea, It was a production of U of H, but I think it was sold? I learn so much cool history from it as well.
I often go and google of things they relate to. Composers, musicians, sponsors, etc.

About 38 years ago my brother got married and since he really liked my stereo set up I gave it to him as a wedding present complete with all of my albums.

Well he just gave it all back to me and I've been listening to some of albums that I haven't heard since I gave them to him. One is a Willie Nelson album called 'Willie Live' it was published in '76.

The next one on is Alvin Lee's 'In Flight'
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

I had acquired a new stereo (Kenwood) complete with a record player but it went t*t's up but I saved all of my records. So with the ones my brother returned and my others if they were stacked on top of each other they would be about 5 feet tall. No World Record by far but I'm going to record many of them into CD's and save them on my computer.

While he's not been active here for quite sometime a friend has a HUGE amount of audio. He tells me that you could open it up and listen to it 24/7 for over Four Months and he's got a ton of records to still convert.

I was just working at place not to far from where I live. We were putting 30 sheets of plywood on the ceiling of a huge shed, where the owners grandchildren played basketball, hockey and road bikes. All around the outside walls where old turn tables, speakers and plastic bags full of vinyl. I asked him what the deal was, he told me he volunteered at the local thrift store and snatched up anything that had to do with old record players. Most of the stuff he got for next to nothing. He fixes them and sells them for good money. He said it pays for his golf games every Thursday afternoons. Even the music stores, the ones that are still left anyways, still sell vinyl copies of newly released music. It's a hot thing right now.
