My younger brother has been privilege to have had the opportunity to see Tommy play live. How I envy him.
Tommy starts out with a Wonderful example of 'Cascading Harmonics'

Great Dylan song and a classy video. I'd never seen it before, the black and white set in the UK was very nice.
Thanks Jamie :Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Jamie, I like Bobby Darin's work, however when it come to this song there is a very special rendition; this is my all time favorite done by the late and great Johnny Cash and his beautiful wife June Carter Cash.
My very first 'real girlfriend' and I used to sing it like Johnny and June. Years later we met and were talking about our lives since we'd parted and she told me that she recently had a boyfriend who started to sing this to her and she stopped him and told him that there was only One Man who could sing that song to her. So we sang it together. I couldn't believe that both of us still remembered the entire song.
The last I saw of her she was acting strangely and didn't speak; Her husband told me she had dementia and that broke my heart. She'd just turned 58 years old two weeks before on the 14th of January. Yes I still remember her 'Special Day. So for Jane and the good time we had, I present this:

Loved your poignant story, cudarunner... It amazing the memories that an old tune can cause us to relive. Hold onto those memories ..
From my end, here's a great performance from Sam Brown at the Concert for George, on the first anniversary of his passing. So much talent assembled at one venue. This is also memorable as the first live performance of this tune by George Harrison. I love this video for very many reasons!

There are certain songs from my teens that when I hear them I can smell the smells, taste the tastes and remember the people, the car, the event etc. For some reason a lot of the Loving Spoonful's songs do that/like these two. I believe the Loving Spoonful had SIX #1 hit in a row!
