I have been doing nothing but heirlooms for the last couple of years and I agree with your statement fully. Not as much yield but the flavors are absolutely intense! Cherokee Purples are hands down my favorite the last two years, they are sooooo good!!
Tasteless is the perfect adjective for hybrids these days.It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Thanked: 2027Is going to have a major Ripple effect across the entire nation.
70% of our water is for farm use,to date 800,000 acres are going to left fallow,That also means many thousands of farm workers will have no work.
The major cattle ranchers are selling off thier stock as there is nothing for the cattle to eat.
Is very bad for Kali.CAUTION

Meanwhile, we're kind of flooding here in Toronto, all the snow and rain, there's huge pools of semi-frozen water in my backyard, the neighbor has a sump out and running to get rid of it, and I'm 300 meters from the shoreline of Lake Ontario. Was just reading about water, surprisingly, Brazil has the most fresh water in the world, with Russia and Canada coming in 2nd and third...Canada alone has 20% of the worlds fresh water with a population of 35 million....maybe it's true of the old alchemists, water one day will be the gold and oil of today?
Sorry to hear about Kali, pixelfixed, been somewhat following the story since you first mentioned it, and it really is a catastrophe out there. Any chance of any major water diversions to your area? Are there any plans at all?

Thanked: 0Anyone growing chilli peppers indoors? We were growing unknown pepper in our flat for about two years and got tiny but spicy peppers almost all year round. But some parasites attacked it and we had to throw it away. Now I've bought Habanero White and Tabasco seeds and will be planting them today. Hope it goes well.
