Thanked: 3227Sailor
Our winter was truly the opposite of yours. The snows came early and just stayed and stayed and stayed along with severe cold. It has been the longest and coldest winter for us that I can remember in 61 years of living here. At least the Sami are near or above the Arctic Circle but we are nowhere near it. It has started snowing again looking out of my window.
On a happier note, your back yard looks great. Hope you enjoy your good fortune and can get gardening soon.

Thanked: 13246First signs of Spring...
1. The wife gets the "Spring cleaning bug" which somehow only adds Honey do's on my side of the list
2. The Battery comes off the trickle charger and goes back in the mower, again more chores for Glen
On a good note looks like all our seeds are sprouting pretty well, but still no signs of Peppers.. sometime around June 1st is when we are looking at moving things outdoors

Thanked: 13246Oy my aching back :)
Just got home with the makings of the new Deer Fence, and new doors for the back sheds..
And I don't believe I am saying this but I am heading into town tomorrow to pick up and actual 3pt Plow for the Tractor to break the new ground..
Every time I say something like that, this theme song runs through my head

Thanked: 13246The very beginnings of the new garden...
Breaking the ground first, with a Middle Buster Plow,
These are a few test passes getting the depth set,
After I cut the ground up with the plow, I will rent a 3pt Tiller and create the bed, I am trying to size everything out so that I can just back the Kubota in, drop whatever implement I want down and drive through..
As we enlarge the Garden which now almost seems inevitable since she is talking a Flower bed and a Berry bed I will add 10' sections which will create 6' beds. This of course is the plan reality will be interesting to see

Getting close to putting my seedlings out, this shot is from a couple of weeks ago so still not quite ready, but very nice days in the 60's now.

Thanked: 13246Well gents I just got informed of the "Secondary" plan for the garden area,,,
My lovely bride has determined that should we become bored with the gardening, that the fenced in area would make for a pretty good Rabbit Hutch *SMH*
