Hey guys, just got back from a night out at my local jazz bar and the awesome guitarist who makes me want to quit playing did a cover of this.. check out the awesome beautiful part at 2:12

have been playing fallout 3 and it has a slaying 50's americana soundtrack thought i'd put a few of those up too

This woman was a revelation for me when i first heard about her, just not enough good female guitar players out there, she shows the boys what it's about

and just because i have a jive swing thang going on at the moment

    a night

In fact, I've always kind of thought of her as your freak pop star that panders to young kids too consumed with the desire to be hip to worry about the actual quality of the music. Don't get me wrong, I still think she's a freak and I'm not likely to add her to my MP-3 player any time soon but this particular performance (minus the techno BS beat) is truly remarkable. I had no idea she could sing like this. There's kind of a female Billy Joel feeling to this. I like it alot:

bloody hell.. she really gives it some..

and some old aerosmith. Ask me why i post an old performance form the 70's rather than a new performance? like i always say.. old stuff is just better

A couple of years ago I caught a PBS special called: "Playing For Change".

The whole thing started when some guys heard a street musician belting out some tunes. They got a multi-track recorder and started traveling all over the world bringing musicians together on tracks to make some truly wonderful and awe inspiring music.

Here are a few, but I suggest traveling to the site for more. I usually spend a few hours or so in the 'episodes' tag when ever I go. Playing For Change | Connecting The World Through Music

Just went to go gas up the truck for next week. The radio was playing "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. Couldn't help but laugh when I remembered this classic from Saturday Night Live

OK all you aging Baby Boomers (Old Farts is such a derisive term). Here's a gem that had been playing in my brain for most of the day. Direct from Woodstock (the real one, not that 1990s abomination). Quite the soup strainer on Mr. Crosby as well

Paul Butterfield, also from Woodstock, this guy is an absolute BEAST
