Have a black Di Modell Rallye perforated waterproof watch strap on the way if I feel like changing things up, always liked life on the edge...

Omega Speedmaster Automatic...not too big, and fits perfectly on my 7" wrist:

Did you get the one with the display back and decorated mvmt?

It comes in two versions. One has a solid metal back and the other has a transparent back so you can see the mvmt. The transparent one has a decorated mvmt and the solid back does not plus it has some plastic inside which the display back doesn't.

Perpetual calendar and solar power that eliminates the need for batteries. This is my EDC watch.

Lovely watch Phrank. Looks to be in really good shape. Should look sweet on the rallye strap. Here's a little info on your new baby. Enjoy and wear in good health.

Omega Speedmaster 3510.50 otherwise known as the Speedy Reduced has a 46 jewels Omega caliber 3220 movement. It's made from a ETA caliber 2890-A2 (no date) base movement with an add-on Dubois-Dépraz 2020 chronograph module. A common combination without the whirring feature . This piggy back movement is easy to identify by looking at the watch from the side. The winding crown and chronograph pushers will not be aligned. The crown is positioned a bit lower. The domed acrylic crystal is shatter proof but will scratch up with use so you may want to invest in a tube of Polywatch to polish up the crystal once in a while.

I like the fact that it's no longer a production item. I also like the addition of the minute Arabic numerals at each hour marker. One thing to be aware of is this one does not have a screw down crown so swim but don't dive. Also the case back is a solid snap on versus screw down. I don't think they offered it with a clear display case back and decorated movement although I'm not 100% positive about that.

Being an Old Jeweler, I have been a dealer for many brands. Personal watches are Seiko, Omega, Rolex, on and on.

What does it really matter, they either keep time correctly or they do Not, you guys crack me up.

FAL, I couldn't agree more. It only matters to those who have an interest. No one cracks me up more than myself. People evaluate, categorise, price and sell diamonds based on that process. Why bother doing that. They're either sparkly bits of carbon or not. Those guys crack me up.

Bought one like this when on sale at Costco: http://cdn2.jomashop.com/media/catal...snkn41_2_1.jpg
A Seiko SNKN41 "Recraft Series" with 7S26 automatic movement. From what I've read one the cheaper automatic movements Seiko makes. But it keeps time and, to me, looks great. I wear it more than my more expensive watches.

The 7S26 has been around in one form or another for years and is a bullet proof mvmt.

You can use it and abuse it and wear it for 20 years and never get it serviced and it still runs and will keep pretty good time.

They don't make it anymore though the replacement is really a mod and improvement on that movt too.
