I've always been a fan of the Dr Martens boots. I have a pair now in rust, thinking about getting black. They are by far the most comfortable boots/shoes I've ever had. And you can still get the made in England ones.

Still mandatory in some airborne units.
I have a pair a jump boots that i have to wear to any dress function, don't think i will ever own a pair if i dont have to. boots every day for work for the last almost ten years...I wear good old comfy shoes when im not at work. I dont miss when we had black boots and had to have them polished every day.

Thanked: 1185This was my approach. Boots every day for 25 years will take away all the novelty and cool there is to it. These days I seldom wear socks and Sperry Topsiders, Loafers or flip flops are about all that goes on my feet. To be completely honest, I don't remember the last time I wore boots of any kind.
