I've always been a fan of the Dr Martens boots. I have a pair now in rust, thinking about getting black. They are by far the most comfortable boots/shoes I've ever had. And you can still get the made in England ones.

Still mandatory in some airborne units.

I have a pair a jump boots that i have to wear to any dress function, don't think i will ever own a pair if i dont have to. boots every day for work for the last almost ten years...I wear good old comfy shoes when im not at work. I dont miss when we had black boots and had to have them polished every day.

This was my approach. Boots every day for 25 years will take away all the novelty and cool there is to it. These days I seldom wear socks and Sperry Topsiders, Loafers or flip flops are about all that goes on my feet. To be completely honest, I don't remember the last time I wore boots of any kind.
The older I get, the better I was
