I got a little varmint/plinker .22 CZ 453 with a home made cheek riser, millett LRS 6-25X56 and Harris bipod. Ammo is SK high velocity hollow point . Shoots nice 1" - 1,5" groups on 100m.

Lots seem to underestimate the American people. I am a lightweight compared to most! Some serious firepower out there! Sea to Shining Sea!

Thanked: 12Ahh. Recoil.
I have a 1943 Russian M44. Chambered in 7.62x54R (similar ballistics to 30-06). It is carbine length with a 18" folding bayonet and a solid steel butt plate. It kicks like a mule with 180gr bullets and throws a massive fireball at dusk
I also have some Czech training rounds that are 55 grain hollow ball ammo. Makes it kick like a 22, but still makes all the noise. Leaves the barrel at 3000+ fps, but drops 10+ inches at a couple hundred yards.

I just thought I'd pop in and give my recent account of Ruger's customer service. About two months ago I bought a Ruger Sp-101 .357 3" used for cheap. The previous owner wasnt a gun guy, he only fired around 200 rounds through it, but used it as a backpacking gun. I quickly noticed that it had a catch where the trigger would lock at around 80% pull but the cylinder would still turn. It got to the point it was a 1-2 times a cylinder. I wrote to ruger expecting to get a stout shove it, but hoping that they might be able to tell me what was wrong, I've got plenty of experience with rifles and semi-autos but very little with revolvers. They told me to ship it to them on their dime and wait. Nine days including two weekends later I received it back in the mail working like a charm. The enclosed note said they had replaced a bent Pawl, and tuned they cylinder all free of charge. I have no doubts that the damage was due to be knocked against things, he tends to hike and toss the pack, and am thrilled by their customer service. Ruger has made a real believer out of me and earned a long time customer.

I bought a stainless mini-14 side folder from a friend. It is a 1980s model with the pre-ban flash suppressor and wood/stainless factory folding stock. The rear sling swivel was missing. I called Ruger and they asked the serial # of the rifle. Got my address and sent a swivel free of charge. The swivel came but is was for a wood butt stock. Not the same as the stainless side folder. I called them back. They looked it up and sent the correct swivel free of charge. Told me to just keep the first one. They are first class indeed.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
