Yesterday I discovered that a pair of my Oliver Sweeney shoes that I wear to work have holes in the soles. I also discovered that a full re-sole is £90. Boy am I excited!

On a mostly unrelated note, my trousers also split today, so it's looking like I'll need a new suit too..

Why not just new trousers? Or do what a work mate of mine did once, when his pants busted on the job. Staple them back together .

So its been a while gents, but I have to tell you all about my "find."

First off, it gets really hot and muggy in Kansas come summer time. Last year, I swore I wasn't going to suffer as I once did. So, I went online and bought a bunch of microfiber pants and shirts. On a whim, though sailing is hard come by here, I picked up a pair of these water shoes as well:

Now, the pants and all helped, but these shoes saved me!! I don't wair socks with them which could be gross but... I just step into the kids pool before entering the house, take off, and life is good.

I just pulled them out of the closet .

I recommend water shoes in the summer if you can get away with it! Awesome!

I've been wearing this brand for about 6 years, I'm on my second set. They last a long time & are the most comfortable shoes I've owned.

Great shoes, rugged,,,I don't have a real reason for owning a top end trail/water shoe,,,rugged for me is when they don't cut the grass around the Duncan Donuts.

A bit of a Yo-Yo here. I like to keep around my larger sizes until I can bring my weight under control.

Been kickin' the Vibram Five Fingers for a couple years.
