Apart from ultra casual shoes - boat shoes etc, I love my RM williams craftsman boots. 2 pairs in comfort craftsman yearling for casual, and 1 pair of signature handmade in french calf for more formal yet non-suit events, all in chestnut colour. For work, allen edmonds monk strap in black cordovan. The RM williams are by far the most comfortable but not dressy enough for work with a suit, hence the allen edmonds. The RMs are so comfortable that I wear them when travelling also, and have no problem with 10 hours and 10 miles a day exploring different cities etc.
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

Thanked: 485I think it's really important to say I bought new shoes the other day. I haven't bought shoes for years, I've bought only boots for everyday wear for the last few years. I saw these online and thought they looked cool. They're hand made in India with Argentinian hand made leather soles. Made to order in four weeks. Very nice, actually, if just a LITTLE bright...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 1587I don't have a lot of shoes - I've got a couple of pairs of running shoes, some really really casual footwear (thongs, crocs, ...) and then 3 good pairs - all boots:
A pair of RM Williams riding boots;
A nice pair of Italian made brown dress boots (bought them in England years ago and cannot remember the brand);
A nice pair of Italian made black dress boots - I think the brand is Doucal's.
