Thread: What do your women think?

my wife is fine with it she knows i like anything vintage i have a whole buch of old radios etc... so if its old fashioned she knows i will be in it waist deep i just did my first straight shave today and she was taking pictures

Me too. I'm an old fashion person in so many ways, but that's material for a whole new topic.

My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts and that it will pass.. she should know better after putting up with me for 12 years now with all kinds of hobbies..

She does like the smooth face though..

In my experience if my partner thinks i'm crazy for taking up a hobby it seems to encourage me to do it. Conversely if she ignores it, the hobby soon passes.

That must say something about me, but I dont think i'm alone.

My wife supports anything that encourages me to not look like a squirrel with mange.

For V-Day this year she bought me a strop and a nice brush and mug, so she is supportive as possible (for her).

Still won't let me shave her legs though. Dang it.

My wife feigns indifference but I suspect that she thinks its kind of cool as I've heard her telling some of her girlfriends that I shave with a str8 and how great a shave I get.

She really likes it in another way. Prior to resuming str8 shaving after a hiatus of several years, I hated shaving. I would not shave unless I absolutely had to for appearances sake and she hated seeing me with several days of growth on my face. Now, I shave regularly and enjoy it.

Besides, str8 shaving is rather mild compared to some of my former hobbies. Or does sliding a str8 past the jugular veins rank up there with skydiving and free rock climbing?

My girl likes how smooth and soft my face is after I shave. Back when I used to have a bunch of scented soaps, she enjoyed each scent. I've moved to Proraso only, though; she still likes the clean, fresh smell.

Every woman who has seen my razors in the bathroom finds them extremely attractive. I know that many of them see the possibilities...................

My girlfriend is very supportive of everything that I do. However, she tends to get a little annoyed when I get rust stains on the carpet. That's when I get told off .

. . . . I tend to put all my razors out on the floor for cleaning, etc. However, lubricants, etc . . can make a heck of a mess!

My girlfriend thought I was nuts when I decided I wanted a straight razor. She thought I'd grow out of it but guess what? I didn't :P Now she grew into it and likes to see mee shaving. In the morning, when I shave, I often see her on the corner of my eye looking at me shaving... and she comments on the precision of my movement. She likes it now... she borrows me her credit card if I need to buy something and onece I caught her checking out razors on eBay! And guess what! She has a good eye for razors...
