Also look into the possiblity that the second supposed email was just made up and edited to look like it was sent from SRP.
I never really saw it as a big deal however.

Thanked: 328Hey guys... Blame me..
I was playing around and tossed this in to see how it worked, and what not, and if we liked it. Lynn was never a part of the discussion, and I'm sure he'll yell at me later. Sorry for any offense this might have caused..
I however, think it's a good thing.. While Lynn thinks it's a bad thing. A multitude of opinions is a good thing. I ge t these from forums, and I think it's nice to be missed, and reminded.
So there's no hyprocisy from Lynn, just me being a bit over eager.
Thanks
David

Thank you for questioning my integrity, I guess you are right I "supposidly" could be a liar but that is purely speculation.
I was not trying to call out Lynn or any other forum member at all. I was just simply pointing out the iorny. I acually like this forum, I learned a lot about using a straight here just by lurking and certinly do not want to start an attack. I just did not feel too welcome because if my association with another froum and felt if I posted I may be ridiculed, much like I just was by poona.
That being said you can understand my being upset about you using this option. I feel it is a pretty good idea too, I just don't like being made a fool.Last edited by Mottern Man; 04-25-2008 at 04:26 PM.

Thank you gentlemen for keeping these discussions at a decent level of civility. From reading the previous comments made in September of last year I could see this going south in a hurry.
Thank you Dave for coming forward with your honest attempt with an experiment.
Way to go guys you did well lets keep it up.if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

Thanked: 4942I am still not a fan of this and would have prefered that if we did decide to include this type of activity, that the members would have the opportunity to turn it on and off depending on individual tolerance.
Thanks.

Thanked: 22Why is one miserable email every 6 or more months such a big deal?
EDIT: Actually I was just thinking, that guy must have been losing a lot of sleep over this thread since he chose to revive it 8mths later.Last edited by OLD_SCHOOL; 04-25-2008 at 05:01 PM.

I think it was right to revive the thread. It was absolutely important to find out why something our forum's founder took a stand against happened on our forum. We have the answer to how it happened and (hopefully) the issue is being resolved. I personally am glad that we found out this happened as I don't like getting e-mails like that.

Thanked: 22The above tells you how to stop such emails.
I know dwessell thinks he may have had something to do with the email being sent, however you may find, that, that email has been sent many, many times in the past. Just most people couldn't give a flying about it.
I will probably get a telling off for this comment especially since this is old news now, but the OP from Lynn, did seem to be.... Whats that term we throwing around these days....? Oh yes, "ungentlemanly". A PM to one of TSD's admin staff would have been better.
My 0.02 that no on asked for.
