We just walked in ourselves. Many thanks, this was a fun meet. My voice is almost gone, but well worth it. I need to get my teaching chops back. It may be time for some dinner and sleep.

Great Meet, great People, great Learning and Interaction... Couldn't have happened without the great organization and work of MattCB! Year One... Pacific Northwest Fall Meet- Seattle... Homerun!
Thanks also to Glen/GSSixgun, Mariusz/Proximus26 and Gerrit/Deighaingeal for keeping the knowledge flowing... The Demonstrations, Instructions and Discussion were absolutely non-stop beginning to end!
And thanks to everyone who attended!! Last count I heard was 19... Very cool!!!
Lastly, thanks to all the Vendors/Donors that provided all the SWAG!! Even with a large turnout there was enough stuff to go around a couple times!!!

'Glad to hear it went well (no surprise). I spent most of the day making special breads (calamata olives & parmesan in a tart San Fran white loaf, and 100% spelt) to go w/ the tenderloins. 'Good food, but I kept thinking - I could've been w/ the guys & gone out for a meal when I got home. 'Hope all made it home w/out hassle. 'Very much wish I could have been there.

I wish that you could have made it too, my friend. It was really great! It was nice to see some old friends and make some new ones. It was also nice to learn amd to pass on some knowledge. Next time I may take Shawn's lead and sit down a little more.

Thanked: 3I am very glad I made it down for this first Seattle meet. Well actually, my first meet also.
A very generous group indeed. Everyone was patient with my endless poking and questioning! The result though? I can't wait to get home and get to work (I'm currently chewing down on Seattle's famous indian food at Kastooris lunch buffet. YUM!)
There was definitely enough coaching and information to allow me to bring my edges to the next level. I am very grateful for this. I have a much clearer sense of what's necessary to improve.
And a product bonanza! I am armed up with SRP glycerin soaps and ready to kick stubble ass!
And...I am now armed with a beautiful thuringian hone that I have named Proxy. (Thnx Mariusz!)
I would thank each person who helped me out and say thank you so much for your generosity. I am very glad to have been a part. And a special thnks to Matt for working so hard on the details.

With envy and longing I'm glad the meet went off with out a hitch. I may have to think about organizing one in the Portland area so more of the Oregon members can have a chance to get to a meet. I realize the amount of work that goes into a meet. I live on the edge of wine country and there is a Saki distillery in town. Also located within 30 miles of Portland for the distaff side to go shopping if a family outing is planned. I will have to think a great deal about it.
