Thanked: 1936Shoot, gonna be a total "winging" it. I am going to bring my 110v wire welder as from what i have read you must weld up the ends, heat, flux, heat, twist tighter, reheat, beat.
We have done quite a bit of forge welding, so why not step it up a little/do something different every meet.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

I try to spend most of my time at the meet helping others, but I'm in on the welded cable razor project as time permits. I have welded cable successfully before, and have a couple of pieces of non spin cable that I can bring, I've just never made anything from the cable that I have welded. I did mine on a flat anvil face, but many people start the welding in a swage block, and I can see how that would be a big help.

Thanked: 4826At some point that is going to happen. It is a long drive though. I am not sure I would attempt to do it as quickly as Charlie did. He goes on road trips every summer and covers a lot of ground and sees a lot of stuff. When I grow up I want to be more like Charlie.
